Revision.

So inevitably I'll go through my portfolio and find old things that I really like but feel like I can do a better job at now. This is one of those works. Straight forward illustration I did for Illustration 1 class. It was, at the time, one of the best things I'd done in that class. That was in 2007. I've grown a lot since then.



Today I decided to employ some of my new dry brushing technique to try and fix one of the things that bothered me most about this drawing, the wolf. And I gotta say I dig the results.



I think this is one of those pieces I'll eventually redraw all together, but for now, it's just really fun to see the contrast in my skill over the past few years.

I like the beastie. I like the tree. Red riding hood looks happy though. Ah riding hood, so innocent, so naive - and I sound a plonker!
